Gov. Arthur Yap said that for a provincial director, he looked for a man of performance and man of integrity.

The provincial police chief is somebody who understands Bohol as one of country’s top destinations with its people and visitors, a growing economy that survived and overcame many challenges, Yap said.

The governor spoke at the change of command ceremony at the Bohol Provincial Police Office yesterday.

Col. Julius Cesar Gornez relinquished his office to new PNP-Bohol chief, Col. Jonathan Cabal, in the presence of PRO-7 Director Debold Sinas.

Yap assured the new provincial director that the Provincial Government is ready to serve and work with the PNP to address criminality and to sustain war on drugs.

In his speech, Cabal quoted Theodore Roosevelt “People don’t know how much you know until they know how much you care.” as he challenged Bohol PNP to perform better and to not waste opportunity to serve.

On his assumption into office, he reports Bohol has 26 standard police stations with 5 more underway: Corella, Buenavista, Garcia Hernandez, Danao, Dagohoy. (Leah Marchil)
