Governor Arthur Yap met with the Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and food, Incorporated and six other key officers of the Roxas Foundation to bring more “big brother -small brother public” and private partnerships in Bohol.
Gov. Yap is advocating a convergence policy wherein funds from the Provincial Government of Bohol and National Government will be invested in commodities that will promote food security among Boholanos and to supply the high value food and fruits of Bohol tourists. This can only happen when government funds, research funds, and privates sector funds are working together.
The PCAFI will not only go into agriculture but agri tourism as well so that it can present a model where agriculture and tourism compliments each other.
