Governor Art Yap attended the Culmination program of the Kasadya! Pasko sa Bohol Christmas market and awarding of the Dayegon and Belen Contests.

Gov. Yap cannot hide his overwhelming gratitude for the success of Kasadya which was originally just a dream.
He immortalized the Dayegon and Belen contests to help bring us back to our traditions and our culture. He hopes that through these traditions we find our rootedness to our unique culture and to remind our youth and each other what it is to be a Boholano.

“Yes, It helps tourism and introduce ourselves to the world but most importantly it serves as a compass as to where we are in the world”, Yap added.

Governor Yap also thanked the Mexican Ambassador to the Philippines Gerardo Lozano and his wife for gracing this very important event and assured him of our friendship.

The Sing Philippines Youth Choir performed as guest performers as well as the 3 winners of the Dayegon contest.

Mayor Romulo Manuta, Mayor Lilioso Nunag, Mayor Elizabeth Mandin, Mayor Juliet Dano, Mayor Virgilio Mendez and Victorino Manalo (National Archives of the Philippines-Executive Director) were amongst the mayors of the towns who joined the belen contest who were present.
