Gov. Art Yap led the turn over of cheques to the beneficiaries of the PRDP sub-projects earlier at the Capitol today.
Yap whose main goal is to establish food security in the province, allocated 20 millios pesos as counterpart fund for this PRDP project to provide infrastructure, facilities, technology and information to raise incomes, productivity and competitiveness in targeted areas.
In fact, the Province of Bohol, thru Gov. Yap has accessed funding support from PRDP to strengthen and develop viable agri-fishery based enterprises through efficient value chains of key agricultural and fishery products in targeted program areas.
Cheques were given to 3 regular subprojects and 8 Global Environment Facility (GEF) micro-enterprises namely;
-Alumar Farmers and Fishermen’s Asso. (AFFAS) in Alumar, Mahanay Island, Getafe for their Seaweeds Production, Consolidation and Marketing Project.
-Kinagbaan Coconut Farmerd and Processors Organization (KCFPO) in Kinagbaan, Jagna also received a cheque for their Bohol Virgin Coconut Oil Production and Marketing Enterprise (BVCOPME)
-Nagkahiusang Mananagat sa Asinan (NAMASIN) in Brgy. Asinan, Buenavista received a cheque for their Seaweeds Production and Marketing Project.
-Bilangbilangan East Fishermen’s Association (BEFA) in Bilangbilangan, Bien Unido received a cheque for their Seaweeds Development Project.
-Hingotanan West Fishermen’s Association (HIWEFA) in Hingotanan West, Bien Unido for their Seaweeds Production and Trading Enterprise.
-Kahugpungan sa Gagmayng Mananagat sa Saguise (KAGAMASA) in Saguise, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia also received a cheque for their Seaweeds Production and Marketing.
-Aguiningnong Pondok sa Yanong Mananagat (APYM) in Brgy. Aguining, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia for their Seaweeds Production and Marketing
-Kahugpungan sa Gagmayng Mananagat sa Sinandigan (KAGAMASI) in Brgy. Sinandigan, Ubay for their Seaweeds Production and Trading Project.
-Cataban Fisherfolk Development Association (CAFDA) in Brgy. Cataban Talibon for their Seaweeds Nursery, Production and Trading.
-And the Guindacpan Growers of Seaweeds Seedlings Organization (GGOSSO) in Brgy. Guindacpan Talibon for their Seaweeds Nursery, Production and Trading Project.
